Seafaring Activities for Children

Chatham is noted for its beautiful beaches on Nantucket Sound, Pleasant Bay and our many kettle ponds for freshwater swimming.  Swimming lessons are available on the Oyster Pond beach during the summer. 

Kayaking and canoeing are fun on the ponds, and for a real treat...do look into sailing lessons at the Stage Harbor Yacht Club right at Stage Harbor or the Chatham Yacht Club on Pleasant Bay near Eastward Ho! Country Club on Foxhill Road.  There are a variety of boats for size and skill levels and races and regattas all summer long.
